Munchkins

I absolutely LOVE to photograph kids. You never know how the session is going to turn out. There may be smiles, there may be tears, but it is definitely a memorable experience. I practice on my kids so often that they just automatically do the head tilt. So cute!

Here are a few of my favorites.

Kids can be somewhat unpredictable. We all know this. When photographing them, we may not always get the perfect smiles and everyone looking, but sometimes the best ones are of that face only your child can make. Enjoy the experience and the memories!

One last picture of one such moment. My mom, Darla was doing Macyn's 1 yr pictures. She was really busy and not really wanting to sit and smile, but I actually think this one was even better than just a normal smile. Don't you?

Tutu Pictures

Last year for Valentines pictures my mom, Darla, and I took these adorable tutu pictures of my sweet daughter, Anna. She was a few months shy of 2 and not really into it at first. We got alot of pictures with big crocodile tears...but they were still adorable!

This is a cute collage of some of my favorite poses. In the end she did have fun.

After we got the tutu off we played with some beads and rose petals. I was tossing them up over her head in this picture.

This is one with the big crocodile tears. I love the traditional pictures with smiles...but I gotta tell you that the pout just grabbed me. Reminds me of the pictures of my sister when she was younger. She was a big pouter too.

Hi to all

So this is my first foray into the world of blogging. My name is Jessi Cantrell and I am a freelance photographer in Coffeyville, Ks. I am trying to catch up with the rest of the world and use a blog to document my business and wonderful clients. It will also hopefully be a great marketing tool!

Now to introduce myself. I am a 28 yr old farm wife, stay at home mom, and freelance photographer. I joined my mom in the photography business when my youngest was about 1 yr old, so about a year and a half ago. It seems like so much longer!

One of our favorite places to take pictures is outdoors, especially in rustic areas like the creek on my Mom and Dad's place.
